BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Coming into the final week of the regular season, Brusly and Istrouma were both desperate for a win to help their playoff seeding. Both teams fought until the very end, but the Panthers came out on top in a defensive battle, 7-6. The Indians got the scoring started late in the second quarter; Elijah Parker connected with David Johnson in the endzone; Istrouma couldn't convert the two-point conversion, and the Indians took a 6-0 lead at the half.  Midway through the third, Patrick Gales gave the Panthers' offense a spark with an electric rushing touchdown. Also giving Brusly the lead, 7-6.  From there, both defenses stood strong, not giving up any more points. Istrouma struggled with injuries as they played five different quarterbacks, which resulted in five turnovers for the Indians.
