Infant mermaid toys recalled due to choking hazard
Nov 08, 2024
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — More than 25,000 infant travel toys are being recalled due to a choking hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The Dreamgro Lullaby Mermaid Travel Soothers each have gold soft star attached that can fall off and pose a choking risk for young children.
The toys are shaped like mermaids and were sold in pink and light blue. The gold star is affixed to the mermaid's head.
The travel soothers play music and have a detachable hook that can connect the toys to car seats and strollers.
Dreamgro has received one report of the star fall off of the toy. No injuries have been reported.
The toys were sold nationwide at various retailers, including Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx.
Anyone who purchased one of the recalled travel soothers is urged to keep it out of reach of children and to contact Dreamgro for instructions on how to receive a refund.
