CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — Firefighters battled a brush fire for six hours on Nate Whipple Highway in Cumberland yesterday. The fire broke out before noon. Mutual aid partners were called to the scene to help contain the fire. Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts are all currently under a Red Flag Warning. Outdoor burning has been prohibited in municipalities throughout the three states. According to officials, there were no injuries or threats to structures. Categories: News
