ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The International We-Love-U Foundation celebrated the love of literacy Thursday by donating more than 250 books to students at Flower City School No. 54. As part of the book drive, the school partnered with the organization and the library to hold a reading block party for both students and parents. School leaders said the event is designed to get families reading together, while helping students read outside of classroom time. Then it just goes up from there.” Every single student Thursday was able to take home a free book. The Rochester Public Library System is also giving books to parents to read to their kids at bedtime.
