KBVO Game of the Week: Georgetown, Cedar Park play for the district title

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Georgetown and Cedar Park meet with the district championship on the line Thursday at Gupton Stadium, and it's the KBVO Game of the Week.
With the teams tied at 5-1, the winner will stand alone at the top of District 8-5A1 while the loser could end up in a three-way tie for second. Rouse and Lake Belton are 4-2 and play Glenn and Killeen Chaparral, the two worst teams in the district, Friday.

Both teams are coming off big wins last week. Cedar Park beat Leander 47-31 behind an incredible performance by sophomore quarterback David Cooper. He threw for 183 yards and ran for 156, averaging 13 yards per rush. Sophomore Cameron Graham scored four times on the ground for the Timberwolves.
Georgetown clobbered Lake Belton 65-21 behind Jett Walker's 184 rushing yards on 16 carries plus a pair of receivers who reached up more than 150 receiving yards. Davyn Sedwick caught four passes for 168 yards and Xavier Warren hauled in six catches for 158. Sophomore quarterback Kaleb McDougle threw for 372 yards with three touchdowns.
Tonight's game is the final regular season KBVO Game of the Week. Roger Wallace, Keith Moreland and Noah Gross will call the action beginning at 7 p.m.
