Police Evacuate Central Piedmont Community College Campuses After Safety Threats

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Safety threats prompted the evacuation of Central Piedmont Community College campuses, including Central, Cato, Harris, and Harper. WCCB has confirmed with a source that they were bomb threats.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the campuses and led the evacuation of the Parr and Central High buildings on Central Campus and all buildings on Cato, Harris and Harper campus.
First responders worked to clear the buildings and then allowed people to return.
A CPCC spokeswoman says, “all campuses have been declared safe and normal activities can resume.”
