WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The Kansas Department of Transportation has closed Interstate 70 at Colby to Denver, Colorado, and U.S. Highway 36 west of St. Francis to Colorado. The KSN Storm Track 3 Weather Team says winter weather alerts are in effect for some counties in northwest Kansas due to accumulating snow. Kansas Department of Transportation cameras showed snow covering roads west of Goodland, and the National Weather Service in Goodland reported moderate to heavy snow. The Colorado Department of Transportation has closed many roads, and high winds and snow have made road conditions unpassable.
