NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Veterans Day is on Monday, Nov. 11, and, in observance of the federal holiday, many places throughout New Mexico are closed or are holding special events. Below is a guide to some of the changes to expect for Veterans Day 2024.

10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday - Tolling of the bells at 11 a.m., keynote speakers, flyover courtesy of the New Mexico Chile Flight, and music by The Dukes of Albuquerque Concert Band at New Mexico Veterans Memorial.

Veterans Day Parade
11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 - The parade will stage at Main Street and Lohman Avenue, traveling north on Main Street to the roundabout near City Hall, then south on Water Street and back to the staging area. Opening ceremonies start at 10:30 a.m.
