A state-of-the-art, 37,000-square-foot Porsche New Orleans facility is coming to Metairie at 8900 Veterans Blvd. The announcement comes just seven months after Gayle Benson acquired the dealership as part of the Ray Brandt Portfolio. On Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., there will be a groundbreaking ceremony at the new Metairie property as Benson Automotive Group and Porsche New Orleans unveil plans for a “Gen 5” facility. The dealership will be one of six “Gen 5” facilities in the country, meaning it will feature a modern showroom, a spacious customer area, and an advanced service department with 18 service bays. Porsche New Orleans embodies the luxury of the Porsche brand and offers a curated selection of the latest Porsche models, including sports cars and luxury SUVs. The full suite of services at the dealership includes maintenance and repair performed by certified technicians in a state-of-the-art service center. “Our Gen 5 facility is designed to enhance the customer experience and reflect the Porsche brand’s commitment to innovation and excellence,” said Jerry Moisant, President of Benson Automotive Group. In April 2024, New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson announced that she has completed the acquisition of the Ray Brandt portfolio of dealerships and collision centers (Click here for previous CityBusiness story). The acquisitions, which complemented her existing network of dealerships and collision centers throughout the region, included Mercedes-Benz of South Mississippi, Porsche New Orleans, Volkswagen of Mississippi, Infiniti of South Mississippi, and three premier collision centers across Mississippi and Louisiana – on Airline Dr. and Edenborn Ave. in Metairie, and on Pass Road in Gulfport, Miss. Benson’s automotive portfolio also includes Mercedes-Benz of New Orleans, Mercedes-Benz Van Center, and Best Chevrolet and Cadillac of New Orleans. Gayle is the widow of the late and former Saints owner Tom Benson, who owned more than 30 auto dealerships across Louisiana and Texas.
