  COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina GOP is celebrating local wins as well as Trump’s victory. According to Chairman Drew McKissick, the GOP held its supermajority in the State House and added one seat to it as well. They also picked up an additional four seats in the State Senate, giving Republicans a Senate super majority for the first time in over 150 years by winning 34 out of 46 seats. McKissick says other victories for the GOP include flipping 17 races and 13 county council seats around the state to the Republican Party.
