SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The San Diego County Office of Education said the Mountain Empire School District will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 6, due to inclement weather. Officials say high winds could make travel to and from school challenging, especially for high-profile vehicles like school buses. This prompted their decision to call off classes for the day. California Proposition 33 results The following schools will not be in session Wednesday: -- Campo Elementary School -- Clover Flat Elementary School -- Descanso Elementary School -- Early Childhood Education -- Mountain Empire Alternative Education -- Mountain Empire High School -- Mountain Empire Junior High School -- Mountain Empire Junior High School -- Mountain Empire Unified School District -- Potrero Elementary "The safety of students and school staff is of the utmost importance to San Diego County school districts," the Office of Education stated.
