Indiana Senate Majority Caucus elects leadership team for 2025 session

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Senate Majority Caucus has elected its leadership team for the upcoming 2025 session.
According to a news release from the Indiana Senate Republicans, caucus members voted to reelect Indiana State Sen. Rodric Bray, R-Martinsville as their choice for Senate President Pro Tempore.
The release said that the Democrat caucus will weigh in on Bray's selection during the legislature's official organization day on Nov. 19.

Indiana State Sen. Chris Garten, R-Charlestown will continue to serve as the majority's floor leader, the release said. Indiana State Sen. Travis Holdman, R-Markle will also continue in his role as the majority caucus chairman.
"It is not lost on me that the position of Senate President Pro Tempore is a job that carries a tremendous amount of responsibility, and I am extremely grateful to the members of my caucus who have placed their faith in me to lead this esteemed body," Bray said in the release. "I'm also pleased to continue to have Sens. Holdman and Garten on the leadership team, who have proven themselves to be level-headed and practical leaders in the Senate. My caucus is full of talented leaders, and we are ready to get back to the Statehouse on behalf of Hoosiers as we undertake crafting the state's next budget in the 2025 session."
