TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Shawnee County Election Office had a busy day Tuesday. With all the business came some technical difficulties. The official Shawnee County website malfunctioned, causing a delay in posting election results. Visitors to the website weren't able to see results until roughly five minutes after them being finalized. Shawnee County Election Commissioner Andrew Howell says voter turnout in the county was around 70%. "There were some places that had 15, 20, 30-minute lines at some locations but nothing out of the ordinary," Howell said. "Consistent and pretty heavy turnout."
