BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Two brothers have been sentenced in connection with a crash in 2021 on Union Avenue that resulted in a 10-vehicle pileup and one death. Jose Catarino-Reyes was sentenced Tuesday to five years in prison after pleading no contest to charges of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run resulting in death, according to court records. On Nov. 16, 2021, a Chevy Silverado ran a red light at Union Avenue and 21st Street. It smashed into the back of a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Fedricia Harrison, leaving her with fatal injuries and resulting in the pileup.
