Men Wear Pink event in Springfield raises funds for breast cancer
Nov 04, 2024
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Even though it's November, the fight against breast cancer continues in western Massachusetts.
Monday night, the local Men Wear Pink Ambassadors from the American Cancer Society teamed up with Max's Tavern in Springfield to host a guest bartending event.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness and funds towards their goal of $25,000 to support cancer research and patients. Stephen Morelli with the American Cancer Society tells 22News, "To make sure people get early screening, and better treatments available for people if they do face that unfortunate news. Learning you have cancer is one of the most difficult times in your life, and we want to be there for the cancer patients."
Max's Swing Lounge will hold its grand opening party on November 14th. Proceeds from that event will also go towards the American Cancer Society.
