Wells Fargo grants nearly $500,000 to two North Dakota organizations

NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Two native-focused organizations in North Dakota received $495,000 total in grant funding from Wells Fargo’s Invest Native Initiative in 2024. The grant is intended to improve housing access and affordability, small business growth, financial health, and sustainability in Native communities.
The funding is part of Wells Fargo’s two‑year effort — beginning in 2023 — to collaborate with native organizations and communities across Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The two North Dakota organizations that received funding this year also received some last year.

Minot Elks Lodge makes big donations to community organizations
The Sacred Pipe Resource Center acts as a safe space for the Tribal Native American population to connect with each other and effect change.
The SAGE Development Authority tries to bring about community development, institution-building, and self-determination for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
In total, $6.4 million was given to 33 native organizations. The funding will enable the production of 156 for-sale homes, 102 rental homes, and support for over 2,000 small businesses, among other things.
