Election results may be delayed in key swing states

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Election Day is Tuesday but it may take a while to find out who won in certain swing states.
Election Day is tomorrow but it can take a few days before finding out which candidate won in the swing states, including Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
So while many Americans are eager to know who the country's next leader is, they may be in for a waiting game. 22News spoke to the senior political consultant at Anthony L. Cignoli Associates, Evan Garber, who says the reason that results may be delayed is that it will take a while for some states to count the early ballots.
"Both states had a push by local election officials to make it so they can process mail-in and early voting ballots quicker before election day but for different reasons in both states it did not work out," says Garber. He says some states have adapted but others have not.
Garber says while it may take some time for results to come in, that does not mean that there is election fraud.
He adds, "They want to count all the votes and make sure that they see everything, have all the data, and that everything gets certified properly so that process takes time and that is a good thing. We want everything to be counted."
Garber says in 2020 they did not have the full results until the weekend so Americans can expect to wait a few days.
