OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - It was a rude awakening for TJ Williams early Sunday morning. The storm knocked him onto his floor.
“Which is a good thing, because the wall literally fell on my bed. So there’s no telling what would have happened if that wouldn’t have happened,” said Williams. “It was just loud… I just kind of covered up, you know? And then a little bit later, I heard my wife screaming and calling 911.”
Fortunately, he, his wife and two kids are safe. They’ve lived in their home near SE 89th Street and Sooner Road since 2007. Williams said they only suffered minor cuts and scratches.

However, they have a long cleanup ahead.
The home’s back wall and roof are gone and the family’s cars are destroyed.
Williams was out Monday morning braving the downpour, trying to salvage a few personal belongings.
Despite the damage to his home, he told KFOR he feels blessed.
“I mean, it's insane how many people are willing to help,” said Williams. “We're all safe, all this stuff can be replaced. But we're all here."
Williams’ family has a GoFundMe set up. The link for it can be found here.
