GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — One person is dead as the result of a crash on Interstate 85, according to the Greensboro Police Department. At around 6:18 a.m. on Sunday, a 2019 Kia Forte was driving south on I-85 and ran off the road to the right just past Youngs Mill Road before crashing into a parked tractor-trailer. Child killed, 2 others injured in crash on West Gate City Boulevard, Greensboro police say The driver of the tractor-trailer was not inside and was not hurt in the crash. However, the driver of the Kia was killed as a result of the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. The GPD's Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the fatal crash. There is no further information available at this time.
