EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- For the fourth straight day, the Blue Front Fire outside of Ruidoso has not shown any new growth, the U.S. Forest Service said Monday, Nov. 4 in an update.
The fire, which is burning 9 miles northwest of Ruidoso in the Blue 2 Fire footprint from last summer, remains at 323 acres and also remains at 52 percent containment, according to the Forest Service.
There are currently 21 firefighters on scene being supported by three engines.
No road closures or evacuations are being reported.
"Within the Blue Front Fire area fire risk is low with the development of rain, snow and higher humidity. Firefighters are working to complete containment lines around the Blue Front Fire," according to the Forest Service.
Rain at lower elevations and snow on Sierra Blanca are forecasted to continue through Monday, the Forest Service said.
