BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Dunham continues its reign in District 8-2A, clinching the district title for a third straight year after beating Episcopal, 18-0.
The Tigers set the tone early with a big punt return by Jarone Harris that set Dunham up at the ten-yard line. Ensuing play, Elijah Haven punches it in to give the Tigers an early 6-0 lead. Dunham's defense also came up with some big plays, forcing a fumble on a reverse play by the Knights.
Both teams failed to find the endzone from there until the 4th quarter. Haven scored his second rushing touchdown of the night to extend the lead by two possessions, 12-0. The Tigers sealed the victory with an interception on the following drive, setting up Haven for his third score of the game.
Dunham completes an undefeated regular season and now switches their focus to the playoffs that start in two weeks.
