Montgomery County police investigate 'serious hit and run collision' that hospitalized MCDOT employee

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run collision that happened last week.
The crash happened at about 9:10 a.m. on Oct. 24 in the area of Briggs Chaney Road and Legend Oaks Drive. The driver of a 2006 silver Infinity sedan hit a pedestrian there before fleeing the scene on foot.

Investigators said a Montgomery County Department of Transportation employee was working at the location when he was hit by the car.
He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
