(CNN)– Wendy’s is making some changes in the coming months. The fast food chain announced it will be closing 140 restaurants but it plans to open an equal number of new locations in other areas. Wendy’s says the restaurants closing their doors are outdated and underperforming. This round of closures are in addition to the 100 restaurant closings announced in May. Still, the overall number of Wendy’s are not shrinking. The chain is opening about 300 locations with new pick-up windows, updated kitchen appliances, and spruced up interior.
