Isolated storms continue through Halloween night, more rain possible Friday

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Parts of Southeast Louisiana could see rain and thunderstorms through the evening, bringing brief heavy rainfall and occasional lightning. This may cause some disruptions, especially for those planning to be outdoors or trick-or-treating. Most rain activity will be west of Interstate 55, with chances decreasing farther east.
A strong system located north of the region is pushing moisture across the area, contributing to storm development. With temperatures currently above average, scattered showers are expected to continue, and some could become more intense as the evening progresses.
Overnight, skies will remain mostly cloudy with lows around 70 degrees. Rain chances decrease tomorrow, although scattered showers and thunderstorms remain possible through Friday afternoon as daytime heating interacts with lingering moisture.
Weekend weather looks clearer, with mostly sunny skies on Saturday and highs near 80. By early next week, warm and muggy conditions will continue, with slight chances for rain returning Tuesday.
