BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A trial date was set Thursday for the alleged drunken driver whose pickup hit multiple people at the Bakersfield Christmas Parade.
Alan Lewis Booth, 73, is scheduled for trial on Feb. 24. He has pleaded not guilty to four counts of assault with a deadly weapon other than a gun, two drunken driving-related counts and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
Three people were hit; one suffered serious injuries.
Booth took a breath test after the crash that revealed his blood-alcohol content at 0.25%, more than three times the legal limit of 0.08%, according to police reports. Blood test results showed his BAC at 0.28%, the reports say.
Booth was released on bail until April — when he was arrested on suspicion of driving on a suspended license with a BAC at 0.24%. Misdemeanor charges were filed in that case and he has since been held without bail.
