COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A Cincinnati-based company has closed the doors to its Franklinton brewery and pizza kitchen. Taft's Brewing Co. announced on social media Tuesday that it had closed Taft's Brewpourium Columbus at 440 W. Broad St. effective immediately. The offshoot of an award-winning brewery, Taft's offered a variety of signature beers and served New Haven-style pizza along with a menu of other items. "We came to Columbus with a lot of excitement to share our beer and pizza, and we were truly welcomed by all with open arms," the post said. Wario’s Beef and Pork to appear on Guy Fieri’s ‘Diners, Drive-ins and Dives’ Opened in 2015, Taft's brewery in Cincinnati has a 50,000-square-foot facility for high-volume brewing, beer kegging, canning and packaging. Its brewing equipment was shipped in from Germany. In March 2023, the Franklinton location briefly closed when a car drove into its building.
