PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Six people were arrested for suspicion of various gambling and narcotics-related charges in Porterville last week, according to the Porterville Police Department. Police say on Oct. 25, Friday around 7:05 p.m. officers responded to a business in the 1300 Block of West Henderson Avenue regarding a man who allegedly attempted to make multiple fraudulent purchases using a stolen credit card.  Before officers arrived the suspect left the area; Police say they were able to identify his vehicle. Around 11:30 p.m. officers said they found the vehicle parked at an abandoned business in the 100 block of West Orange Avenue.  Officers say they contacted Mark Keoninh, Sandra Gonzalez, Kathy Saefong, David Carr, Ernie Hernandez, and Kham Khamsouk inside the business.  Officers say they also observed evidence of an illegal gambling operation within the business. According to police, Keoninh was positively identified as the man who allegedly attempted to make the fraudulent purchase earlier in the day and he was found to be in possession of numerous fraudulent checks and additional stolen credit cards.  Police say they responded and assumed an investigation and a search warrant was obtained. During the service of a search warrant, detectives say they found illegal gambling machines, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and additional evidence of illegal gambling.  Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence of Keoninh in the 100 block of North F Street. During the service of the search warrant, Detectives say they found hundreds of items of evidence, including stolen and altered checks, stolen bank cards, stolen mail, fraudulent social security cards and equipment used to alter and produce fraudulent documents. Keoninh was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility and is being held in lieu of $102,500 bail. Gonzalez was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility and is being held in lieu of $125,000 bail. Saefong was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility and is being held with in lieu of $60,000 bail. Carr was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility. Hernandez was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility. Khamsouk was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility.
