Oct 29, 2024
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Department of Conservation and Recreation announced a temporary ban on fires at Massachusetts State Parks on Tuesday.
This includes all open flames and charcoal fires.
The DCF places this ban as an effort to prevent wildfires due to drought conditions.
Small portable propane grills are still allowed in recreational areas where grilling is authorized.
The ban will be in place until further notice from the DCR.
