"This gift will provide the equivalent of 75,000 meals, helping to alleviate hunger for thousands of our neighbors. It's an incredible gesture of kindness, and we thank her for supporting our mission," said President and CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank Natalie Jayroe.
Second Harvest officials said the donation will help provide food assistance to those who rely on their resources.
On Friday, Oct. 26, Second Harvest volunteers packed boxes with canned goods and nonperishable items while dancing to Swift's music in anticipation of her performances, which brought in millions of dollars to New Orleans.
