Two injured in Ward County crash

MINOT, N.D. (KXNET) — Two Magic City residents, including a teenager, were injured in a two-vehicle crash south of Minot on the morning of Friday, October 25.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 8:37 a.m., a Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on Highway 83, and approaching the intersection with 54th Avenue Southwest, At the same time, an Infiniti QX50 was westbound on the avenue and crossing Highway 83.

The Infiniti failed to yield the right of way to the Jeep, causing the Jeep to strike it on the passenger side. Both vehicles came to a final rest in the southwest corner of the intersection.
The driver of the Infiniti (a 17-year-old girl) and the passenger of the Jeep (a 74-year-old woman) sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Charges against the teen are currently pending.
The crash currently remains under investigation.
