JEFFERSON PARISH (WGNO) — One man is dead and another is hospitalized after a shooting in Jefferson Parish on Sunday, Oct. 27. At 3:30 a.m., deputies with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said several calls came in reporting a shooting in the 300 block of Brooklyn Avenue. Responding deputies arrived to find two men inside the home both suffering from gunshot wounds. No further details are available at this time. Deputies are in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive. The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office will release the deceased victim's identity after the family is notified.
