WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has identified the 16-year-old boy who was shot and killed in Southeast D.C. on Friday afternoon. According to MPD, at around 4:15 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Langston Place for reports of gunshots. There, they found a man and a 16-year-old boy who had been shot. Judge grants guardian, conservator for DC Councilmember Vincent Gray; kids accuse wife of fraud First responders took both victims to the hospital, where the boy died from his injuries. As of Saturday, the man was being treated for critical injuries. In an update on Saturday, police identified the boy as 16-year-old Darren Johnson of Southeast. Police encourage anyone with information to call them at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to the department's tip line at 50411.
