COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Buckeyes football is back with the fourth-ranked team in the nation hosting Nebraska for homecoming at noon. Ohio State is looking to respond to its 32-31 loss to Oregon last time out with a big win over the Huskers. In order to get that victory, the scarlet and gray will be missing starting safety Lathan Ransom, who is among six players listed as out on the injury report. Three things to watch when Ohio State plays Nebraska for homecoming The senior from Tucson, Arizona also missed the Buckeyes' last home game against Iowa but was on the field against Oregon. Ransom has registered 26 tackles and forced two fumbles for the OSU defense. Another notable name that will stay on the injury report for 2024 is offensive lineman Josh Simmons. Head coach Ryan Day confirmed during his Tuesday news conference Simmons will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury he suffered during the loss to Oregon.
