Names of 2 killed in Tulare home shooting released in online fundraiser

TULARE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The two people who died following a shooting inside a Tulare home on Thursday have been named in an online fundraiser.
According to Tulare Police, a man and a woman were killed and a suspect was injured after the shooting inside the home in Tulare at around 3 a.m., according to the Tulare Police Department.

The online fundraiser says the victims were Raymond and his mother Melissa. Raymond had three children, which the fundraiser says survived the shooting. The children had previously lost their mother in 2019.

According to the Tulare Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 200 block of Berkeley Avenue on Thursday at around 3 a.m. for an intruder in the home. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Raymond and Melissa inside the home with gunshot wounds. Raymond passed away inside the home and his mother, Melissa, passed away in the hospital.
A suspect, who had been shot, was found in the backyard and taken into custody. The suspect has not yet been officially identified.
