ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office said it will move its trunk or treat from its downtown headquarters over a planned anti-police protest. It will now be held on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Training Academy at 3801 Broadway Blvd. SE, north of Rio Bravo. This will be BCSO's second-ever trunk or treat and deputies will be on hand to pass out candy. Fight food insecurity at the 2024 Hike to End Hunger BCSO said its top priority is to ensure a safe environment for everyone and while they respect the right to protest, they moved the event so families and children aren't exposed to a potentially disruptive situation.
