SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- The last time we had a below-average high in Sioux Falls was October 15th, with a high of 56, 6 degrees below the climate average. Since then, it's been warm as it has remained very, very dry. Who’s buying Schulte Subaru? Things were a little different today. Clouds were a little thicker and scattered showers appeared on the KELOLAND Live Doppler Radar. A rumble of thunder or two may have also been heard. While the rain showed up for some, whatever fell most likely will do little for the dry conditions across KELOLAND. It's another Thursday which means another look at the drought monitor. With little to no rain over the past week, it continues to worsen. The severe category continues to expand and the extreme category practically expands across the southern half of South Dakota. During the last couple of days of the month and for early November, temperatures will cool. Along with the cooler air, we should start to see better chances for precipitation.
