COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed exit 73B from I-20 eastbound to SC-277 for emergency repairs to a damaged shoulder. The exit is expected to be reopened by Monday, Oct. 28. As part of the closure, a detour has been put in place, and the detour will utilize Alpine Road and I-77.   A map of the detour can be found below. SCDOT encourages drivers to slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone. You can plan your route ahead by using SCDOT’s 511 app or visiting 511sc.org for real time traffic updates.
