WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- The long lines that some people have found at Sedgwick County's three early voting centers should improve next week. The election office is going to open 17 more voting locations starting Tuesday. Happening now - Early in-person voting at three locations Registered Sedgwick County voters are already voting early at these locations. You do not have to vote at the place nearest your home. You can choose whatever location is convenient. Sedgwick County Extension Office, 21st and Ridge Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Nov. 1, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. Reformation Lutheran Church, 7601 E. 13th North, near 13th and Rock Road Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. until Nov. 1, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. Sedgwick County Election Office, 510 N. Main, near Central and Main Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. until Nov. 1, and 8 a.m.-Noon on Nov. 4. Tuesday - 17 more early voting sites open On Tuesday, Oct. 29, Sedgwick County voters will have 20 sites to choose from: the three already open and 17 more. Oct. 29 - Deadline to request a by-mail ballot If you want to request a by-mail ballot, you must request it by Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m. You can request one by calling 316-660-7100 or by filling out and printing this form and mailing it to the Sedgwick County Election Office, 510 N. Main, Suite 101, Wichita, KS 67203. You can also save the form as a .pdf or .jpg and email it to [email protected]. You can fax it to 316-660-7125. You can also request one in person at the election office during regular business hours. Nov. 5 - Election Day Sedgwick County polling sites will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. You must vote at your assigned polling location. If you do not know your polling site, you can find it on the Kansas Secretary of State's VoterView website: voteks.org. If you requested and got an advance by-mail ballot, it must be returned or postmarked by Nov. 5. You can return the ballot to the election office, a community-located drop box, or a box inside a polling place by 7 p.m. on Election Day. If you are mailing it in, it must be postmarked by Nov. 5 and received at the election office by Friday, Nov. 8. Nov. 8 - Mailed ballots must arrive at the Sedgwick County Election Office Mailed ballots must have been postmarked on or before Nov. 5.
