WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police said a woman is in the hospital after she was shot in Northeast D.C. overnight. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that shortly before midnight on Wednesday, officers were called to the 1300 block of Florida Avenue for a shooting. This is in the area of the One Stop Shop convenience store. WATCH: Southeast DC &pizza vandalized; police search for suspects Upon arrival, they found a woman who had been shot. She was taken to the hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown as of Thursday morning. Police said the suspect was wearing a long leather jacket with dark clothing and had a scarf covering their mouth. The shooting is under investigation.
