Cardi B in hospital for 'medical emergency,' cancels upcoming performance

(WJW) -- Cardi B is recovering in the hospital from a "medical emergency," the 32-year-old rapper announced.
The New York native released a statement on X on Wednesday, saying she won't be performing at ONE MusicFest in Atlanta over the weekend due to her health.
"I am so sad to share this news, but I've been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple days and I won't be able to perform at ONE MusicFest," the statement said, in part.

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, did not give further details on her condition, but she said "it breaks my heart that I won't get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there."
She went on to thank fans for being understanding during this time.
"I'll be back better and stronger soon. Don't worry," the statement said.
