NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The weather for the rest of October will remain warm and dry, with temperatures staying about 5-10 degrees above normal. Clear skies and sunshine are forecasted through Friday, with daytime highs in the lower 80s and overnight lows in the mid-60s. Winds will be light, shifting between the northeast and southwest. There’s no rain expected through the weekend, and although models hint at a slight chance of showers early next week, it’s unlikely to bring much precipitation. Even if any rain does develop, it will probably be light and short-lived. Some areas of light fog were reported this morning from New Orleans to Donaldsonville, but any additional fog over the next few days will be patchy and thin due to low moisture levels in the atmosphere. As for the upcoming weekend, it will bring more of the same—clear skies, warm afternoons, and pleasant evenings. Temperatures are forecast to stay steady into next week.
