A Halloween event for adults will be held for the fourth straight year in Madison Village. The Boo Brew Crawl is slated for 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at various locations in the community’s downtown. Six village businesses will be involved in the celebration: • Wild Burrito Mexican Taste and Margarita Bar, 125 North Lake St. • Flagship-Craft Cocktails and Eatery, 106 N. Lake • The 528 Tavern, 111 N. Lake • Duffy’s Tavern, 60 West Main St. • Madison Brewing Co., 70 W. Main • Arcola Creek Tattoo, 123 N. Lake Tickets for the Boo Brew Crawl cost $25 (or $20 for designated drivers) and are on sale through Oct. 25 at all participating businesses and Madison Village Hall, located at 33 E. Main St. In addition, event organizers are likely to have some last-minute tickets available to purchase between 4 and 5 p.m. Oct. 26 at the bandstand in Village Park, located at West Main and River streets, said Madison Village Administrator Dwayne Bailey. That timeframe also is when ticket holders can claim their Boo Brew promotional items. Each guest receives an official 2024 Boo Brew Crawl T-shirt and baseball cap; a lanyard; an ID card for specials and discounts at participating bars and restaurants, and a temporary tattoo from Arcola Creek Tattoo; a necklace; and sunglasses. Ticket buyers are encouraged to visit all six participating locations and get their ID cards punched, making them eligible to win prizes. The grand-prize winner will receive an overnight stay at Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 181 Water Tower Drive in Madison Village. All five restaurants and bars involved in this year’s Boo Brew Crawl  are part of the village’s Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area, or DORA, which was established in 2021. The DORA encompasses the village Park and Square; West Main Street, between River Street and East Main Street; and North Lake Street from its southernmost point to the railroad tracks. Within this designated area, licensed liquor establishments which were authorized to join the DORA are permitted to sell alcohol in specially marked cups. Patrons are permitted to take those cups outside of the establishments in the specified zone during a set time. The annual Boo Brew Crawl is presented by the Madison Community Improvement Corporation. Proceeds from the event will help fund the 2025 Concerts in the Park Series, which is sponsored by MCIC; and be donated to other local charities.
