Northbound Interstate 25 is closed Wednesday morning in Weld County for fire activity, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The closure is about 40 miles north of Denver and 10 miles northeast of Longmont. More details about the fire were not immediately available Wednesday and, as of 8 a.m., northbound traffic was experiencing up to 25-minute delays in the area, CDOT officials said. Although southbound I-25 remains open, drivers on the southbound interstate are also experiencing up to 15-minute delays Wednesday morning near Mead. This is a developing story and will be updated.
