PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Corrections said an inmate who was on the run after walking away from a job assignment at the Adult Correctional Institutions has been arrested.
Rhode Island State Police arrested Joshua Torres nearly two weeks after he was determined to have escaped.
Chief of Information and Public Relations J.R. Ventura said that Torres was being taken back to the ACI Intake Center.
According to court records 26-year-old Torres was convicted of carrying a pistol without a license.
