GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) -- A man is dead after a serious motorcycle crash at Burkes Pond Road in Gloucester County on Wednesday morning, police said. Around 8:50 a.m., police responded to Burkes Pond Road north of John Clayton Memorial Highway.  Courtesy: VSP The investigation revealed that a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle was being driven by 62-year-old Richard Gregory Gibson, Jr. Gibson was traveling north on Burkes Pond Road, when he ran off the roadway into a ditch, police said.  Gibson was seriously injured and transported to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester County, where he later died.
