NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department has asked for the public's help identifying and finding the suspect in a Mid-City armed robbery that ended with a woman shot. At 7:54 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, NOPD officers responded to the 4400 block of Banks Street on a call of an armed robbery. (WGNO/Ashley Hamilton)(WGNO/Ashley Hamilton) Man found shot to death in Plum Orchard neighborhood An investigation revealed a woman was inside her vehicle when a man, armed with a gun, approached her. Officers say during the robbery, the man allegedly shot through the driver's window wounding her. He reportedly ran away from the scene. The woman was taken to a hospital by EMS. An update on her condition was not released. (Courtesy/New Orleans Police Department) The suspect is described as having a medium build and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a white design on the front and light-blue basketball shorts. NOPD officers are warning the public that the suspect is armed and dangerous and if spotted, call the NOPD and do not interact. No further details are available at this time.
