BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Are you heading to Huntsville, Alabama for the Southern University football game? Check out these places to eat and spend time with your family if this is your first trip to Alabama. The Jaguars will play against the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Louis Crews Stadium. The matchup against the Bulldogs will be the Jaguars' fifth Southwestern Athletic Conference game of the season. Blue Plate Cafe (3210 Governors Drive) Blue Plate Cafe in Huntsville offers a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. The specialty plates on the lunch and dinner menu are Southern fried catfish. Some of the options on their breakfast menu include French toast, three-cheese omelet and very berry pancakes. Big Spring International Park (200 Church St.) The Big Spring International Park in Huntsville "plays host to numerous events, including Panoply Arts Festival and Concerts in the Park and many more," according to their website. The park is home to a variety of attractions, activities and even utilities. Bridge Street Town Centre (365 The Bridge St.) Bridge Street Town Centre offers food, fashion, events, movies and anytime-style inspiration, according to their website.
