FORECAST DISCUSSION:
A cold front continues to make its way over Central Ohio. Though no rain is predicted from this system, there will still be more clouds that will build up this afternoon. Along with the cloud cover very breezy conditions will pick up with wind gusts close to 30 mph.
Temperatures today will also be well above average for this time of year. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s across the area. After the cold front passes temperatures will drop fairly quickly during the afternoon and evening hours.
Overnight will bring lows closer to normal for this time of year. Columbus will drop to 40 degrees while rural areas will fall closer to the mid 30s in spots. Clouds are going to clear out, but breezy conditions stick around though not as strong.
The first day of temperatures not above normal in about a week arrives tomorrow. Highs will only reach the low 60 with mainly sunny skies. Another surface high pressure center moves into Central Ohio keeping conditions fair for the majority of the day.
The second cold front of the week arrives on Friday. This will bring an isolated chance for rain showers. Very little accumulation is expected if any. Highs do warm back into the mid 70s. This weekend brings back the cooler weather for Ohio States homecoming game and the last Sunday of October.
