SAXON, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in Wisconsin say one person needed to be rescued by the United States Coast Guard after their boat was disabled while out on the water Monday afternoon. Officials say that due to connection via cellphone being poor and weather conditions deteriorating, they entered into a distress phase. Coast Guard officials are taking this incident to remind those planning to venture out on to the water to ensure that they have multiple forms of communication and that, if needed, the U.S. Coast Guard can be reached via CH-16 on a vessel's marine radio.
