OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Police say they have now arrested a man accused of killing a metro-area gas station clerk during an early morning robbery last Friday. According to OKCPD, authorities arrested 23-year-old Anthony Gonzalez on Tuesday afternoon near NW 85th and N County Line Road. Gonzalez was arrested by OKCPD and the U.S. Marshal's Task Force. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: OKCPD releases new video in gas station clerk’s murder Gonzalez is expected to be interviewed and booked into jail on complaints of robbery and first degree murder in connection to the death of 18-year-old Jaedynn Anthony. "She had no chance. No chance. She has no chance," said Somer Goodgion, Anthony's cousin. Anthony was stabbed to death while working an overnight shift on Friday at the 7-Eleven off of Wilshire and Council, which is just 1.2 miles from where Gonzalez was arrested. "You just stabbed her to death and just left like nothing. I just don't understand people," said Goodgion. Police said Gonzalez and Anthony were the only two people inside the store around 2 a.m. She was found by a customer 45 minutes after the stabbing. "She's not even old enough to buy alcohol and you want her to be there running your store by herself for $13.50 an hour, like what," said Goodgion. Court documents reveal after police released surveillance video of Gonzalez asking for the public's help in identifying him, two crime stoppers tips were received. When detectives got to Gonzalez's house on Tuesday, they found him outside and said he was wearing the same house shoes the suspect was wearing in the security video. "It's just frightening. It's so scary," said Goodgion. Anthony's family said she had only been working at the gas station for two-and-a-half months. She leaves behind a 13-month-old baby boy. "The sad this is, is that he's probably not going to remember a lot about his mother considering the age he was, unfortunately," said Goodgion. Anthony's family said they won't stop until justice is served. "He's got to pay," said Goodgion. "It's gut wrenching, and 7-Eleven needs to change it for the security of their people."
